Activity 1.2 - Capacity building for relevant departments in MoTA for implementation of the NTS

Objective

The training program was designed on the basis of the previous analysis‘ findings as per point 1.1, and each training module was attentively refined by sectoral experts, so as to conjugate the methodological appropriateness with the highest expertise in the matter covered by the training. It was specified within each macro-area precisely what needs the administration should prioritise to ensure that staff members are able to perform their tasks effectively. 

Detailed Activities
  • 1.2.1 Design and implementation of a training and capacity building program for relevant personnel based on the findings of the assessment report
  • 1.2.2 Development of a practical manual containing guidelines with best practices for NTS implementation, coordination of other departments. Such best practices were laid out as study cases that represented the object of some of the training modules 
  • 1.2.3 The review, revision and finalisation of MoTA‘s Executive Plan of the NTS were drafted (also in the light of the assessment realised under activity 1.1) in terms of recommendations to be provided for its improvement 
Results
  • Training plan, including modules on best practices for National Tourism System (NTS) implementation and drafting of recommendations for Executive training plan improvement.
